Teaching and Directing: A Dual Lens
From both teaching and directing perspectives, my mission is to embolden the stories we tell. I am captivated by the canvas of physical expression that each individual brings to the narrative. Through teaching, I aspire to empower learners to unveil their own stories, using movement as a medium of profound self-discovery and expression. Once developing the awareness of one’s unique language and vocabulary, my focus shifts to the ensemble, crafting a symphony of bodies that collectively challenge and elevate the tales we share- without losing the individual’s agency within the group.
A Passion Ignited: Storytelling through Movement
My greatest passion lies in the art of storytelling. With movement as my leading vocabulary, I am driven to expand and develop the world of the play/ project, curating a whole language that serves the story. Each story is a treasure waiting to be unearthed, and I relish the journey of discovering the most fitting movements, gestures, and dynamics that give life to these stories.
Inspiration in Diversity and Challenge
I draw inspiration from encounters with diverse artists and creatives, each on their unique odyssey towards self-agency and the challenge of the familiar. There is an undeniable magic in witnessing artists collaborate together to defy norms, creating moments that evoke emotion and spark introspection.
In my world, movement is more than just physical; it is a philosophy, a language, and a transformative force. I invite you to join me on this thrilling voyage of expression, creation, and collaboration. Together, we will explore the endless possibilities that movement offers, crafting stories that leave an indelible mark on hearts and minds.
